I was 65 when I started photographing. I’m not new to the art world, however: In my career as a corporate art curator and consultant for private clients, I have long worked with other people’s art. But in recent years, I’ve decided it’s time to try making my own.
My photography style is more hunter-gatherer than a stationary stalker. I love the meditative search for the magic in the mundane. Most of my favorite scenes come when I least expect it: odd moments, fleeting reflections, fascinating strangers. As my 80s approach, my goal moving forward is simply to continue learning, traveling, and taking long walks as I search for the perfect shot.
